Where science meets humanity
The Behavior Cooperative is an ABA collaborative created with Black children and families at the center. We provide culturally responsive consultation, training, assessment, and support that pairs the science of behavior with compassionate, individualized care— honoring identity, family, community, and lived experience while building meaningful, lasting behavior change.

Who We Are
-
The current ABA service delivery framework often places RBTs on the front lines of care while BCBAs balance large caseloads, extensive documentation, supervision requirements, and an ever-growing list of administrative responsibilities.
Our approach intentionally shifts that model by providing direct, 1:1 BCBA services. This allows the practitioner to spend more time where it matters most: with the child and family.
By reducing the layers between assessment, clinical decision-making, and intervention, the BCBA is able to develop a deeper understanding of each child, respond to needs in real time, and make thoughtful adjustments as they arise. This model creates space for relationship-building, individualized teaching, meaningful family collaboration, and culturally responsive care, while ensuring that the clinician designing the treatment is also directly involved in its implementation.
The result is ABA that is more personal, more responsive, and more connected to the everyday lives of the children and families we serve.

Culture Is Clinical Context
Culture is not an add-on to treatment. We center the identities, experiences, values, and priorities of Black families and community partners when assessing behavior and designing meaningful supports.BCBA-Led, Relationship-Centered Care
The clinician assessing and designing treatment should understand a case beyond the data. Our 1:1 model allows the BCBA to build meaningful relationships with children and families while making clinical decisions informed by direct experience.Science With Humanity
Evidence-based practice and compassionate care belong together. We use the science of behavior thoughtfully, flexibly, and culturally informed. -
Traditional ABA models often rely on RBTs to provide most direct treatment, with BCBAs overseeing care through periodic supervision. The Behavior Cooperative was born in response to this model.
1:1 BCBA services, in comparison, close this gap by placing the most highly trained clinician directly with the people being serviced.
The initiative was founded by Rachael Celestin M.S., BCBA, LBA-GA, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with experience in clinical leadership, assessment, practitioner training, and direct behavior-analytic care.
Her approach combines evidence-based practice with cultural responsiveness, compassion, and meaningful connection, with a particular commitment to providing Black families with individualized care that recognizes both who they are and the communities they belong to.
